「毎日ファッション大賞」とは　About

「毎日ファッション大賞」（主催：毎日新聞社後援：経済産業省）は、毎日新聞創刊110年を記念して1982年に創設した表彰事業です。
本賞を通じて、ファッションに携わる人々の優れた業績を称えるとともに、新たな才能を発掘し、より充実したファッション情報の発信を続けることで、ファッション界のさらなる振興および文化の育成に貢献していきたいと考えています。

The Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix (organized by the Mainichi Newspapers and supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) was established in 1982 to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Mainichi Newspapers.
This award aims to recognize and honor the outstanding achievements of individuals in the fashion industry, uncover emerging talent, and continuously disseminate enriched fashion information, thereby contributing to the continued advancement of the fashion industry and the fostering of culture development.

大賞GRAND PRIX

年間を通じてファッションという文化活動のなかで最も優れた成果をあげた人（デザイナー、経営者、コーディネーター等）、企業、団体に与えられる。

Awarded to the individual (designer, manager, coordinator, etc.), company or organization that achieved the most outstanding results in the cultural activity of fashion throughout the year.

新人賞・資生堂奨励賞NEWCOMER'S PRIZE

年間を通じて最も優れた創作活動をした新人デザイナーに与えられる。
※「新人」とは、自身の責任による作品を発表して5年以内とする。

Awarded to the new designer with the most outstanding creative work of the year.
※“newcomer” is defined as a person who has published a work under his/her own responsibility within five years.

鯨岡阿美子賞AMIKO KUJIRAOKA MEMORIAL AWARD

ファッション界にあって、長らくその発展に寄与し、功績のあった人(グループ)。テキスタイルデザイナー、ジャーナリスト、研究者、コーディネーターなど分野を問わない。ただし、ファッションデザイナーは含まない。
（故・鯨岡阿美子さんは、国際的なファッションジャーナリストとして活躍。第1～5回の毎日ファッション大賞選考委員長を務め、1988年に急逝。故人の功績を称え第8回(1990年)毎日ファッション大賞からこの賞を創設）

An individual or group who has made significant and sustained contributions to the advancement of the fashion industry. This can include textile designers, journalists, researchers, coordinators, and others in various fields, but excludes fashion designers.
(The late Amiko Kujiraoka was an international fashion journalist. She served as the chairman of the selection committee for the first five Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix, and passed away suddenly in 1988. In honor of the late Amiko Kujiraoka, this award was established with the 8th Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix in 1990.

話題賞PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD

年間を通じ、その活動が広くファッション文化に貢献し、同時に社会的インパクトを与えたと認められる人、企業、団体（分野を問わない）を対象とする。毎日新聞社が推薦し、選考委員会で承認、決定する。

The award will be given to an individual, company or organization (from any field) whose activities throughout the year have significantly contributed to fashion culture and made a notable social impact. The Mainichi Newspapers make recommendations, and the Selection Committee approves and selects the recipients.

※年間とは前年6月～当年5月のこと

※「特別賞」を選考委員会で設けることができる。

※各賞は原則として1件、賞状・トロフィー(賞牌)を贈呈する。新人賞・資生堂奨励賞には、株式会社資生堂より奨励金100万円が贈られる。

選考の方法　Selection process

選考委員・推薦委員が事前に各賞の候補者（企業、団体を含む）をノミネート。選考委員会では、9人の選考委員が各候補のノミネート理由に基づき討議を行い、意見が分かれた場合は選考委員による投票を行った。

Selection committee members and nomination committee members nominated candidates (including companies and organizations) for each award in advance. During the Selection Committee meeting, the nine Selection Committee members discuss each nominee based on the reasons for their nomination. If there is a disagreement, a vote is conducted among the committee members.
